Nick Carreri is a corporate partner in Kirkland’s market-leading Investment Funds Group. His practice spans the entire private equity lifecycle and focuses on structuring, marketing, negotiating and closing complex investment funds on a global scale for sponsors across a wide variety of strategies, including extensive experience advising first-time fund sponsors. Nick routinely counsels sponsors on ordinary and extraordinary firm-wide and fund-specific economic, governance, transactional and operational matters, including carry and fee plans, succession planning, product development, co-investments, secondaries, investor relations, compliance and strategic transactions. In addition, he provides fund-level advice on leveraged acquisitions, mergers, dispositions, restructurings, financings and other corporate transactions.

Nick is experienced in advising private equity clients on a broad array of issues and commercial matters. Prominent private equity sponsors rely on Nick for his legal and commercial advice, judgment and creative solutions in connection with the formation, operation and management of private equity funds and other related investment vehicles, as well as for other important complex matters such as developing new products and strategies, fund restructurings, continuation fund transactions, investment warehousing, negotiating seed capital and anchor investor agreements, cross fund transactions, managing investor relations, regulatory compliance, conflicts issues and general corporate counseling.
