Since joining Kirkland, David has been involved in the following matters: 

• BAE Systems (LSE: BA) in its $5.5 billion acquisition of Ball Corp.’s (NYSE: BALL) defense and commercial space unit Ball Aerospace
• Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) in its partnership with IKAV to acquire Aera Energy, California’s second largest oil and gas producer
• Blackstone and its portfolio company Fisterra Energy in its sale of the Tierra Mojada combined cycle power plant in Jalisco, Mexico, to Saavi Energía, a portfolio company of Global Infrastructure Partners
• Brookfield Infrastructure in its $30 billion joint venture with Intel
• Blackstone Energy Partners in its $400 million investment in Xpansiv Limited, the leading market-infrastructure platform for global carbon and environmental commodities 
• Blackstone Infrastructure Partners in its $3 billion equity investment in Invenergy Renewables Holdings LLC in one of the largest renewables investments in North American history 
• Blackstone Infrastructure Partners in its participation in a consortium of investors that secured an almost 84,000 acre lease for $645 million in the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s New York Bight offshore wind auction
• Vista Equity Partners in its strategic growth investment in StarRez, a leading provider of residential community software solutions

Prior to joining Kirkland, David was involved in the following matters:

• Amentum in its acquisition of DynCorp International from Cerberus Capital Management
• BDT Capital Partners in connection with the formation of BDT Capital Partners Fund 3, which raised $9.1 billion of capital commitments 
• GasLog in its take-private transaction with BlackRock’s Global Energy & Power Infrastructure Fund
• Lindsay Goldberg and American Securities in their acquisition of the Management Services business from AECOM (now Amentum)
