Scott Toban is a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Scott represents private equity funds, REITs, sponsors, and strategic joint ventures acquiring, developing and operating commercial real estate. Scott advises clients regarding their investments in multifamily apartment projects, office, industrial and mixed-use assets, affordable living facilities and hotels. Scott also draws from his experience representing lenders to regularly counsel clients with respect to single asset and multi-asset secured borrowing facilities from banks, insurance companies, debt funds and GSE lenders.
