Robert F. Mullen Pro Bono Award 2021

The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law honored Kirkland & Ellis with the 2021 Robert F. Mullen Pro Bono Award. The Firm, and partner Michael Jones, were recognized for providing pro bono legal services in the landmark Maryland Higher Education Inc. v. Maryland Higher Education Commission case.

The Mullen Award is named in memory of Robert F. Mullen, former Lawyers' Committee Co-Chair, who was a staunch advocate for equal justice and pro bono legal services. The Award honors a law firm that has provided extraordinary pro bono legal services on behalf of a Lawyers' Committee client or matter.
