As an Associate General Counsel at a full-service, multi-national financial institution:

  • Responsible for all legal, regulatory, litigation and conflict matters generated by the proprietary private equity and strategic investing businesses, which matters involved business units engaged in the full breadth of the financial services industry

  • Regularly worked with the investment bank, wealth management, corporate development and retail operations on day-to-day matters, as well as enterprise-wide initiatives and major transactions

  • Advised senior management with respect to portfolio company board matters, investments, acquisitions, dispositions, employee exits, business unit cessations, merger transitions, equity policies and procedures, risk and compliance assessments, regulatory and tax structuring, litigation, bankruptcy matters and director duties

  • Provided advice in regulations regarding Bank Holding Companies, Small Business Investment Companies, Insurance Holding Companies, Media Holding Companies, Merchant Banking, Anti-Money Laundering, Privacy, Investment Advisors, Exchange Members and publicly-traded securities

  • Represented the fund group in connection with the spin-out of over $5 billion in private equity funds to a permanent capital vehicle listed on Euronext

  • Represented in connection with several equity investments in going private transactions ranging from $3.8 billion to $39 billion
