Professional Profile

Edward Sadtler focuses his practice on a wide variety of transactions involving intellectual property and technology, such as licensing, joint venture, strategic alliance, IT services, manufacturing, and distribution and supply agreements, as well as mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, secured lending, restructuring and other transaction types where intellectual property and technology are important. His practice includes counseling clients on various aspects of intellectual property, including the clearance, protection and enforcement of trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and rights of publicity, as well as on privacy and other issues related to doing business on the Internet. Edward's experience includes working with both Fortune 100 and rapidly growing technology-driven companies and covers many industries, including financial services, consumer goods, travel services, hospitality, health care, publishing and communications.

Edward is the Co-Coordinator of the New York office's pro bono program and Co-Chair of the LGBT Subcommittee of the Firmwide Diversity and Inclusion Committee. He has been recognized by the New York Law Journal and Sanctuary for Families for his work representing immigrant victims of domestic violence in seeking permanent resident status in the United States and coordinates a program for attorneys and summer associates representing clients in this capacity.
