Professional Profile

Jenny Lee is a partner in Kirkland's San Francisco intellectual property group. Ms. Lee focuses her practice on client counseling and intellectual property litigation in federal district court and in the International Trade Commission. She has worked on cases involving a wide range of technologies, including communication protocols, semiconductor manufacturing processes, telecommunication standards, VCR components, and carboxylated nitrile butadiene gloves. She has worked on transactional deals focused on intellectual property rights, including licensing arrangements, joint ventures, product development agreements, and supply agreements. In addition, she has assisted artists and non-profit organizations in a variety of pro bono matters. 


Representative Matters

Represented Korean corporation in the post-trial and appeal phase of a patent infringement case in the Northern District of California. The technology involved VCR components.

Represented a consortium of Malaysian, Indonesian, and Chinese glove manufacturers in the International Trade Commission in a patent infringement action involving carboxylated nitrile butadiene materials.

Represented a major Korean electronics corporation and its U.S. subsidiary in parallel patent infringement litigations in the International Trade Commission, where the patents at issue involved telecommunications standards and other mobile phone technologies.

Represented a U.S. telecommunications corporation in two separate patent infringement litigations (both in federal district court) involving communication protocols and other technologies.

Represented U.S. semiconductor manufacturer in a patent infringement litigation in federal district court involving semiconductor manufacturing and packaging technologies.
