Professional Profile

John Budetti is a partner in the Firm's New York office focusing his practice on counseling sponsors of private equity and venture capital funds and forming their investment vehicles. He has represented sponsors organizing funds ranging in size from $75 million to $4.5 billion. 

John also counsels private fund sponsors on a variety of matters involving private funds, including internal economic and governance arrangements for private fund sponsors, M&A transactions, and strategic investments involving private fund sponsors, as well as joint ventures, spin-outs and other corporate transactions involving private investment funds. 

He has significant experience with a diverse group of private investment firms, and representative current and former clients include Altaris Capital Partners, Audax Group, Braemar Energy Ventures, Coller Capital, GTCR LLC, H.I.G. Capital, Kinderhook Capital, Lincolnshire Management and Summit Partners.
