David Fox is one of the leading members of Kirkland's Corporate Practice Group and a member of the Firm's Worldwide Executive Management Committee. David focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and is renowned for his work on complex, high-profile deals as well as contested, cross-border and international transactions. He also counsels senior management in connection with crisis situations, as well as on general governance matters.
David's work has been recognized by numerous legal and financial publications, including Chambers and Partners where he is listed among a small number of Band 1 practitioners in M&A. The International Who's Who of Mergers & Acquisitions Lawyers 2013 recently named David one of the ten "Most Highly Regarded Individuals" that stand out worldwide in M&A. The Legal 500 lists him among the "Leading Lawyers" for "M&A: Mega Deals ($5B+)." In 2012, he was named a "Dealmaker of the Year" by The American Lawyer and previously as one of their "45 Under 45."
In addition, as a contributing author of Kirkland M&A Update, David's thought leadership has been recognized by various academic and business publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times' Deal Professor and The Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation, where he serves as a Guest Contributor.
