The Copyrightability of Constructed Languages

The Copyright Society of the USA will present The Copyrightability of Constructed Languages on Friday, December 16 at The Princeton Club in New York. This entertaining discussion will explore the creative process of constructing both computer programming and fantasy languages, and if, or how, copyright law can be used to protect them.

Kirkland partner Joshua Simmons will be moderating a conversation with professors Jeanne Fromer and Nathan Sanders, as well as Marc Okrand who devised the Klingon language of Star Trek.
