30th Annual Chicago-Kent CLE Tax Institute

The Chicago-Kent College of Law will hold its 30th Annual Chicago-Kent CLE Tax Institute on May 19-20, 2011 at the Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago.  The conference will examine new federal, state and local tax developments, as well as the IRS's decision to require taxpayers to disclose uncertain tax positions.  They will also discuss the current fiscal environment in Illinois as well as legislative, judicial and administrative developments.

Kirkland partner Jack Levin will be delivering the keynote address entitled "A Tribute to Martin Ginsburg" and partner Todd Maynes will present on the topic "Financially Troubled Debt Instruments: Traps for the Unwary." In addition, partner Gregory Gallagher is the Institute Vice-Chair and a member of the planning committee.
