Kirkland Advises Spectrum Equity in $1.6 Billion Deal

Today, Permira announced that a company owned by the Permira funds and co-investors has entered into a definitive merger agreement to acquire Ancestry.com for $32.00 per share in a transaction valued at $1.6 billion. Kirkland & Ellis advises Spectrum Equity, Ancestry's largest shareholder, in connection with a voting agreement and rollover. New York M&A partner Jeffrey Symons and San Francisco private equity partner David Breach advise Spectrum.
