We are saddened to learn of the death of our distinguished former colleague Robert H. Bork. In a career that spanned many decades, Bob Bork served our Firm and this country with distinction as a Kirkland & Ellis senior partner, Yale University Law School professor, Solicitor General of the United States, and a Judge of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. At Yale, Bob Bork helped educate some of the future leading lights of the American bar; at Kirkland, he helped recruit and mentor a host of future Firm leaders. He was brilliant and incisive, an important thinker and a scholar of the first-order on constitutional and antitrust issues. His writings will continue to be influential for generations to come. We will miss him.
