2013 Turnaround Awards

Kirkland won five awards at The M&A Advisor's 7th Annual Turnaround Awards. The Firm won "Restructuring Deal of the Year (over $500 million)" for the out-of-court restructuring of Kerzner International Holdings Limited; "Divestiture Deal of the Year" and "Industrial Manufacturing/Distribution Deal of the Year (between $10-$50 million)" for the acquisition of Vista Pro's Heavy Duty Division by Thermal Solutions Manufacturing;  "Consumer and Retail Products Deal of the Year (over $250 million)" for the Chapter 11 reorganization of Reddy Ice Corporation; and "Industrial Manufacturing/Distribution Deal of the Year (over $50 million)" for the Chapter 11 reorganization of General Maritime Corporation.

The Turnaround Awards honor deal teams, dealmakers and firms whose activities set the standard for the industry. This year, 120 finalists in 40 categories were chosen. An independent body of experts that span the M&A industry determined the ultimate recipients of the awards.
