Community Partner Award

The National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) honored Kirkland with a Community Partner Award during its 36th Anniversary Celebration in San Francisco. The award recognized Kirkland’s efforts as pro bono counsel for a variety of NCLR matters, including several significant lawsuits. Founded in 1977, the NCLR advances the civil and human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their families through litigation, legislation, policy and public education.
