Above & Beyond Pro Bono Achievement Award

Sanctuary for Families honored Kirkland with a 2013 Above & Beyond Pro Bono Achievement Award at its annual ceremony and benefit in New York City. The award recognizes members of the legal community who have gone “above and beyond” by providing outstanding pro bono representation and advocacy to victims of domestic violence, sex trafficking and related forms of gender violence. In presenting Kirkland with the award, Sanctuary for Families recognized intellectual property partners Oliver Bennett, Patricia Carson and Daniel Forchheimer as lead members of an interoffice Kirkland pro bono team who worked with the organization in conducting a 50-state survey of statutes relating to anti-trafficking and prostitution laws and enforcement.
