In March 2015, The American Lawyer measured the success of the transactional practices in the nation's leading law firms in the annual survey, "Corporate Scorecard." Kirkland's involvement as counsel on significant deals in 2014 includes the following:

  • Ranked 1st as principal counsel by value of deals in the “Buyouts” category
  • Ranked 3rd as issuer’s counsel by volume of deals in the “High-yield Debt” category
  • Ranked 5th as issuer’s counsel by volume of deals in the “IPOs by U.S. Companies” category
