Kirkland & Ellis Represents Daikin in $430M Acquisition of Flanders Holdings

Kirkland & Ellis LLP represented Daikin Industries Ltd., the world’s leading manufacturer of air conditioner products and fluorochemicals, based in Osaka, Japan, which announced today that through its subsidiary American Air Filter Company Inc., it will acquire U.S. air filter manufacturer Flanders Holdings LLC for US$430 million (approximately 50.7 billion yen). Daikin is to acquire all shares of Flanders from a shareholder group led by an affiliate fund of Insight Equity Holdings LLC. More information on the transaction is available here.
