Kirkland & Ellis International LLP Closes Terra Firma Fund

Kirkland & Ellis International LLP has announced that private equity client Terra Firma has held its final closing of Terra Firma Capital Partners III with total commitments of €5.4 billion.  The fund experienced high demand and the successful fund raising saw Terra Firma comfortably exceed its original target.  Terra Firma and the team invested over $200 million in the fund.  The announcement also comes on the back of Terra Firma’s recent $3.2 billion recommended bid for EMI.

This marks an impressive start for the new private funds partners Mark Mifsud, Richard Watkins and Justin Dolling who recently joined Kirkland & Ellis from SJ Berwin.
