Young Guns

Kirkland & Ellis LLP partner Craig Primis was named one of Washingtonian magazine's 2006 "40 Top Lawyers Under 40."  This list recognizes "40 top young lawyers" in Washington, D.C. who have the potential to be "leaders of Washington's most powerful legal institutions." 

Mr. Primis is a graduate of Brown University and Harvard Law School.   He clerked for federal court of appeals judge J. Michael Luttig and then for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.  Mr. Primis has a decade of experience as a trial lawyer in Kirkland's Washington, D.C. office and recently won a defense verdict in a $375 million fraud trial against Kirkland client Honeywell International Inc.

As one of Washingtonian's "40 Top Lawyers Under 40," Mr. Primis joins an impressive list of Kirkland attorneys who have achieved this recognition in the past, including D.C. Circuit Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Time Warner General Counsel Paul Cappuccio, and head of the Department of Justice's Office of Legal Counsel Steve Bradbury.
