Kirkland & Ellis Celebrates Equip for Equality's 20th Anniversary

On October 7, 2005, Kirkland & Ellis LLP helped Equip for Equality celebrate its 20th anniversary as a not-for-profit organization advancing the civil rights of Illinois children and adults with disabilities. Equip for Equality's 20th anniversary celebration occurred at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Chicago and featured a keynote address delivered in person by United States Senator Barack Obama and a videotaped personal message from Mayor Daley. As a key underwriter of this event, Kirkland & Ellis joined political and civic leaders as well as fellow lawyers to help the charity celebrate two decades of achievement. Kirkland partner Seth Traxler serves on Equip for Equality's board of directors and he co-chaired the 20th anniversary event.
