The American Lawyer's April 1999 "Corporate Scorecard" ranked Kirkland & Ellis third for IPO counsel to venture-backed companies by number of IPOs and second in the amount raised for IPOs. Kirkland was also one of the top law firms as issuer's counsel by number of deals, IPO issuer's counsel by number of deals and by money raised, and underwriter's counsel by number of deals.
