Big Guns: Washington's Top 800 Lawyers

Tefft Smith, Michael Jones and Christopher Landau, partners in Kirkland's Washington office, are named to The Washingtonian'slist of the top lawyers in D.C. The fifth annual list represents only 1% of all the attorneys practicing in the Washington, D.C. area.

The Washingtonian'slist of top lawyers was created primarily by peer recommendations. The publication asked approximately 1,000 attorneys who (excluding themselves and members of their firms) the top practitioners in their fields were and whom they would hire to represent them in a range of areas. The lawyers that were recommended were then asked for the practitioners in whom they would put their faith in different fields.
