Kirkland & Ellis LLP Named "Litigation Department of the Year" by The American Lawyer

Kirkland & Ellis announced today that it has been chosen as The American Lawyer's" Litigation Department of the Year."  According to the publication, "What sets Kirkland apart—and the reason the firm is this year's winner—is the number of high-stakes, high-impact trials its lawyers have won since the start of 2006.  Kirkland tried 30 cases to verdict, winning more significant trials than any other firm in our contest."

Other finalists for the "Litigation Department of the Year" were Akin Gump, Covington & Burling, Skadden, Arps and Williams & Connolly.

In addition, Kirkland was selected as one of the four finalists in the Intellectual Property area.  The entire article is published in The American Lawyer's January 2008 edition.
