2007 Legal League Tables

Kirkland tied for fourth by deal volume as legal advisers for all M&A deals announced in 2007 according to Buyouts' "2007 League Tables: U.S. Announced Legal Advisor Rankings."

Rankings are based on announced transactions, including all disclosed and confidential deals, from Thomson Financial's M&A Database as of December 17, 2007. Equity carveouts, withdrawn deals and open market repurchases are not included.

Kirkland was also ranked in the following categories:

• #4 by volume of M&A transactions with values up to and including $100M
• #4 by deal volume and #9 by deal value in M&A transactions with values up to and including $500M
• #5 by volume of M&A transactions with values up to and including $2B
• #7 by deal value of M&A transactions in the consumer products industry
• #8 by deal value of M&A transactions in the Southwestern region
• #9 by deal value of M&A transactions in the health care industry
• #10 by deal value of M&A transactions in the Mideastern region
