Singapore Deal of the Year Award

In 2007, an international team of Kirkland lawyers represented dual-listed STATS ChipPAC Ltd. in a $2.3 billion U.S./Singaporean going-private transaction. The transaction was recognized as both the "Singapore Deal of the Year" and the "Singapore M&A Deal of the Year" by the 2008 ALB Southeast Asia Law Awards. Los Angeles partner Eva Davis ran the U.S. aspects of the transaction and Hong Kong partner David Patrick Eich led the Chinese aspects of the transaction.
