Kirkland & Ellis LLP is an equal opportunity employer.

The Firm pays market competitive base salaries.

Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance

As part of our extensive benefits package, we provide medical, dental and vision coverage to Firm employees.

The Firm provides three weeks of vacation per year. Unused vacation carries forward, to a maximum accrual of 30 days. Vacation accruals increase to four weeks based on service with Kirkland.

401(k) Savings Plan

The Kirkland & Ellis LLP 401(k) Savings Plan is designed to help participants provide for their future retirement security through voluntary contributions to the plan. Covered employees are eligible to enroll in the 401(k) Plan on a bimonthly basis. A participant can make both 401(k) and Roth 401(k) contributions to the plan. Participants are eligible to contribute from 1 percent to 50 percent of pay up to the Internal Revenue Service maximum.

Defined Contribution Plan

The Kirkland & Ellis LLP Defined Contribution Retirement Plan has been established to provide eligible employees with retirement benefits through annual Firm contributions to participants’ accounts. Covered employees become eligible to participate in the plan on the next January 1 or July 1 after completing two years of service. Participants are always 100 percent vested in their accounts.

Business Casual Attire Policy

Kirkland personnel are permitted to wear business casual clothing on all work days. Traditional business attire, if preferred, is always encouraged. Personnel who participate in client meetings or other interfaces are expected to wear traditional business attire unless otherwise approved.

Backup Child Care

Kirkland provides employees with backup child care in the event that the regular caregiver is not available.  The service is available for children between the ages of three months and 12 years. A nominal daily charge may be required.

This plan provides a tax-favored method of paying for child care and other qualifying dependent care expenses (including elder care) incurred while working.
