Chanda Rice practices intellectual property law, focusing on corporate transactions, licensing, and counseling involving intellectual property and technology. Chanda's experience includes the negotiation and structuring of intellectual property purchases and sales, technology development and licensing agreements, manufacturing and distribution agreements, and the intellectual property and technology aspects of other corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, private equity investments, and secured lending.
In addition, Chanda counsels clients on strategic intellectual property and technology matters, such as the development of strategies for the protection and exploitation of brands and technologies, management of trademark portfolios and the enforcement of intellectual property rights.
Chanda has worked with a wide range of clients in various industries, including public companies, private equity companies, and technology-driven businesses. Chanda also has litigation experience and has represented clients in patent infringement lawsuits and ITC actions.
Chanda has an active pro bono entertainment practice that regularly involves advising clients with respect to the legal aspects of the music and film industries, negotiation and structuring of related agreements and licenses, and trademark and copyright registrations.
