Heyman Center Presents: Is Bankruptcy A Viable Solution to the States' Fiscal Crisis?

The Samuel and Ronnie Heyman Center on Corporate Governance will hold its monthly luncheon program on March 21, 2011 at The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City.  In light of the current fiscal crisis and the need for states to confront massive budget deficits and underfunded pension plans, the panel will debate the best way to fix the states and ensure that states' problems do not turn into a national problem.  Whether or not a bankruptcy law for states is a viable solution and if states already have the tools to address their financial challenges will be discussed.

Kirkland partner Jonathan Henes will participate on the panel discussion entitled "The States' Fiscal Crisis: Is the Time Now for a Financial Restructuring?"
