Jeremy Liss is a partner focused on private equity in the Miami office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Jeremy’s extensive experience includes counseling clients on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, carve-outs, and purchases and sales through bankruptcy and out-of-court restructuring with transaction sizes ranging from less than $100 million to more than $6 billion.

As a member of the Firm’s M&A Knowledge Management Committee, he ensures that the latest transaction best practices and leading legal innovations are disseminated firm-wide for the benefit of Kirkland’s clients. He is also a founding member of the Firm’s Innovations and Legal Technology Committee, which is tasked with using technology to enhance Kirkland’s ability to efficiently deliver high-end legal services and value to its clients.

Jeremy invests deeply in his team members to encourage their growth and development as lawyers. This investment also helps him identify the best resources within Kirkland for any given client matter and to motivate and lead effective teams.

Representations & Warranties Insurance Leadership

Jeremy is a thought leader in the use of representations and warranties insurance and other transactional risk insurance products. He started and leads the Firm’s market-leading Transactional Liability Insurance Practice. Jeremy’s early adoption and advocacy of reps and warranties insurance to clients and partners were instrumental in driving the product’s exponential growth, and he maintains close relationships with the most active brokers and insurers in the market.
