Chris is an associate in the Antitrust and Competition team based in London. Chris has a breadth of experience in merger control (including multi-jurisdictional merger reviews), investigations and compliance advice.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Chris practiced competition law in Sydney, Australia.

BC Partners — investment in Advanced, a provider of business software solutions.
Blackstone — acquisition of the business and assets of Murka, a developer and promoter of social casino gaming applications for mobile devices and social media, based in Cyprus and Ukraine.
Travelport Worldwide — $4.4 billion sale to Siris Capital and Elliott Management.
Tenneco Inc. — $5.25 billion acquisition of Federal-Mogul LLC.

Acting for Australia’s largest medical imaging clinic network on its acquisition of several diagnostic imaging businesses.
Acting for a large integrated petroleum business in relation to its acquisition of an independent retail fuel network in Victoria.
Advising clients in a range of sectors (including manufacturing, healthcare, passenger vehicle rental services and facilities management) on merger control requirements.
Investigations, Litigation and Advisory Work
Representing a major Australian bank during a government investigation into alleged anticompetitive conduct and market manipulation in the market for wholesale foreign exchange.
Acting for a large Japanese automotive shipping business in Australia’s inaugural criminal cartel prosecution.
Acting for a major Australia energy generation and retailing business during an inquiry into Australia’s wholesale gas supply arrangements.
Advising clients in the financial services and insurance sectors in relation to their compliance with Australia’s foreign investment and competition laws, as well as industry-specific regulation.
