David Chang is an intellectual property associate in the Los Angeles office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His work includes patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property-related litigation. He has worked on a variety of complex matters involving computer hardware, digital communication systems, medical devices, and software programs.
David also has an active pro bono practice focusing on civil litigation, guardianship petitions, and refugee assistance.
Prior to joining Kirkland, David served as a law clerk to Judge Liam P. Hardy on the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. He continues to serve his nation, part-time, as an officer in the US Army National Guard.
