Justin Clune is a corporate associate in the Houston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice focuses on acquisitions, divestitures and joint venture formations for companies operating and investing in the upstream, midstream and downstream oil-and-gas sector. Justin's transactional experience also includes advising clients in connection with complex acquisitions and divestitures, oil and gas transportation and gathering agreements, commodity purchase and sale agreements and other commercial transactions.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Justin was involved in the following matters:
Represented a major oil company in its $5.6 billion divestiture of its Alaska operations and interests.
Represented an international investment fund in its $10.3 billion acquisition of a public oil and gas company.
Represented an international oil and gas company in its $10.5 billion divestiture of U.S. shale assets located in Permian, Eagle Ford and Haynesville plays.
Represented a public oil and gas company in its $4 billion acquisition of a public oil and gas company.
Represented a public oil and gas company in its $6.7 billion acquisition of a public oil and gas company.
Represented an international oil and gas company in its $325 million acquisition of Eagle Ford shale assets.
Represented a private oil and gas company in its $215 million acquisition of acreage in Delaware basin.
Represented a private oil and gas company in its acquisition of a 33% interest in a pipeline.
Represented a public energy in its participation in crude oil gathering agreement in Wyoming.
Represented a private oil and gas company in its negotiation of agreements for the construction of a gas gathering system.
Represented private chemical company in its negotiation of international polymer offtake agreements.
Represented a private renewable energy company in its disposition of equity interests in a portfolio of thirteen solar photovoltaic projects totaling approximately 720MW in six states and acquisition and tax equity financing of four solar photovoltaic projects totaling approximately 480 MW in two states.
