Debbie Farmer is a corporate and restructuring attorney in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She concentrates her practice on advising private investors and family offices. Debbie helps families navigate key considerations for setting up a family office, including structure types, employee incentive programs, regulatory requirements and financial flexibility. In addition to executing family office plans, Debbie's practice focuses on complex business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, divestitures, restructurings and growth equity investing for both private clients and family offices. Debbie has worked on matters that include complex corporate Chapter 11 cases, out of court workouts, and litigation proceedings.
