Overview

Lauren is a partner in Kirkland & Ellis LLP’s International Arbitration Practice Group and is based in the New York office. She has served as an arbitration lawyer for the past decade, having handled dozens of international arbitration cases as well as domestic court remedies in support of international arbitration cases, including applications for interim measures, domestic discovery proceedings, and proceedings to enforce arbitral awards.

Lauren has handled a wide range of commercial arbitrations and investment treaty arbitrations. She has handled cases ranging in value from $2 million to $20 billion and has helped clients resolve their disputes successfully, including through dismissal of claims, procurement of awards in the billions of dollars, and settlements on terms favorable to clients.

Who’s Who Legal has selected Lauren as a 2020 Future Leader amongst Partners in Arbitration. Sources commented that Lauren is "a young partner with great energy,” and praise her “very technical, thorough and professional" approach.

Lauren has experience across a broad range of industry sectors, including in oil & gas, mining, infrastructure, consumer goods, financial products, pharmaceutical agreements, electricity, water and sanitation services. She is a frequent lecturer on international arbitration both domestically and abroad. She is fluent in English and Spanish and regularly handles arbitrations in both languages.
