Betelhem (Betty) Gedlu is an intellectual property litigation associate in the Bay Area office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Betty focuses on patent infringement litigation before U.S. District Courts and also worked on inter partes proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Betty has played an integral role in winning various motions before the PTAB. Betty represents clients in various industries, including two-way communication devices, networking systems, video surveillance, and pharmaceutical technology. Betty also maintains a robust pro bono practice representing immigrants, tenants, and veterans and also assists in promoting social justice and equity through Census Protection and Election Protection on a national basis.
