Sandra Ghobraiel is an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice Groups and member of the Insurance Transactions and Regulatory team in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Sandra advises clients on a comprehensive range of transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, reinsurance transactions, and joint venture transactions. She also serves as regulatory counsel for private equity funds and other sponsors in the acquisition of insurers and insurance-related entities. In addition, Sandra assists clients with regulatory filings associated with mergers, acquisitions and other changes in corporate structure.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Sandra advised U.S. and international insurers on the formation, licensing and structuring of compliant business operations for insurance entities. She has also assisted global insurers and intermediaries in navigating U.S. insurance regulations relating to the production and distribution of insurance, insurance data privacy, and trade practices.
