Billy Glynn is an investment funds associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Billy’s experience includes advising on various fund structures and regulatory matters, both from the perspective of managers and institutional investors.
He has also advised fund managers and institutional investors on the establishment of, participation in and regulation of a broad range of regulated and unregulated private investment funds, across all the major alternative asset classes. This includes advising:
real estate managers on their fund formation and capital raising projects, including co-investment, joint venture and carried interest structures;
several high-profile sovereign wealth funds on their investments into a range of closed-ended and open-ended funds in various asset classes, including private equity, real estate, venture capital, infrastructure and hedge funds;
institutional investors on their bespoke investment management accounts and custody agreements;
regulatory issues affecting the asset management sector, both from a manager perspective and an institutional investor perspective; and
secondary transactions in fund interests and support on asset management-related M&A.
