Overview

Patrick Haney is a litigation partner who represents companies in their most challenging commercial disputes and most sensitive government investigations. Patrick has litigated a wide range of complex disputes in federal and state courts across the country, including trade secret, product liability, False Claims Act, and mass tort cases. Patrick has significant experience litigating class actions and multi-district litigations across a variety of sectors. Patrick also has deep experience in aviation-related cases, and is a former U.S. Navy pilot who pursued law following a successful nine-year military career.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Patrick completed two federal judicial clerkships, with Judge Edith Brown Clement of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and with Judge Sara E. Lioi of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Prior to and during law school, Patrick served as a U.S. Naval Aviator. He was named the 2004 Helicopter Anti-Submarine Light Pacific Wing Pilot of the Year and is a veteran of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Southern Watch.
