Overview

Patrick Haney is a litigation partner in the Washington, D.C., office. His practice includes complex commercial and class action litigation in federal and state courts, including Multi-District Litigation. Patrick has litigated trade secret and business tort, product liability, biotechnology, energy, and aviation disaster cases across the country. He also represents companies faced with government investigations and enforcement actions. 

Before joining Kirkland, Patrick served as a law clerk to Judge Edith Brown Clement of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and to Judge Sara E. Lioi of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Prior to and during law school, Patrick served with distinction as an United States Naval Aviator and was named the 2004 Helicopter Anti-Submarine Light Pacific Wing Pilot of the Year and is a veteran of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Southern Watch.
