Gabe Harley is a restructuring associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Gabe has experience advising debtors and creditors on cross-border restructurings and insolvencies, administrations, CVAs and schemes of arrangement. Gabe also advises investment banks, hedge funds and private equity houses in their review and diligence of European investment opportunities in par, stressed and distressed transactions.

Olympic Entertainment — Advising an ad hoc group of bondholders on the restructuring of Olympic Entertainment Group
Technicolor — Advising Technicolor S.A. (“Technicolor”), a Paris-based global leader in content creation to distribution for Hollywood studios, independent filmmakers, music producers, and video game and software developers in its comprehensive restructuring strategy to raise €420 million in new financing and refinance Technicolor’s existing $477.8 million and €977 million of funded debt through an accelerated financial safeguard proceeding under French law. Technicolor and its subsidiaries together employ more than 14,000 artists, experts, engineers, and innovators operating in 27 key media markets worldwide, including the United States, Canada, France, and the United Kingdom
Matalan — Advising the ad hoc committee of bondholders in the restructuring of Matalan, including issuance of £25m 1.5 lien notes and scheme of arrangement of the existing second lien notes
Mamas & Papas — Advising the Mamas & Papas and Deloitte as its administrators in relation to its financial restructuring and pre-packaged administration
Mothercare — Advising the Mothercare UK Limited and PwC as its administrators in relation to its financial restructuring and pre-packaged administration
Toys “R” Us — Advising Toys “R” Us group, the world’s leading toy and baby products retailer, on all aspects of its global restructuring and acted for its UK business in respect of its Company Voluntary Arrangement
Moorfields — Advising Moorfields Advisory Limited as administrators of Toys R Us Limited and liquidators of the UK business of the Toys R Us group
Edcon — Advising Edcon Limited, a leading South African retailer in relation to its ongoing restructuring
Lebara — Advising bondholders of the Lebara Group, a European mobile company
Prior to joining Kirkland, Gabe worked in a leading US law firm on the following matters:
Kenya Airways — Advised Kenya Airways PLC’s USD 2.2 billion debt and equity restructuring involving negotiations with a number of creditor groups including local and international banks, aircraft operating lessors and ECAs
Yuksel — Advised Yuksel Insaat A.S. on the restructuring of its US$200m bonds, including advising on a UK scheme of arrangement to extend and amend debt terms
Afren — Advised Afren PLC on its capital and financial restructuring including amendments of certain interests in the group's underlying oil & gas assets
