Matthew Hutchinson is a corporate associate in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice primarily involves counseling private equity funds and their portfolio companies on structuring and negotiating complex domestic and international business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and divestitures of public and private companies, corporate restructurings, and corporate governance matters.
Matthew has worked on transactions in a variety of sectors, including healthcare, software, technology, business and financial services, life sciences, and consumer products. He has handled matters on behalf of, among others, Apax Partners, Bain Capital, Bain Capital Double Impact, Flexpoint Ford, GTCR, Madison Dearborn Partners, Pritzker Private Capital, Thoma Bravo, TPG, and Waud Capital Partners, as well as many of their respective portfolio companies.
