Macquarie as sole lender in connection with the amendment and restatement of facilities provided to Basware Oyj as borrower.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Ben worked on the following matters, advising:
HEMA B.V. the Dutch retailer, on a restructuring involving a significant reduction of HEMA’s debt, including by way of a partial debt for equity swap with respect to HEMA’s €600 million floating rate senior secured notes due 2022, implemented in part by an English scheme of arrangement.
The Restaurant Group Plc, a leading company in the UK’s casual dining market, in respect of a company voluntary arrangement (a “CVA”) proposed by one of its operating subsidiaries, The Restaurant Group (UK) Limited.
Premier Oil Plc in respect of schemes of arrangement to facilitate an amendment to the terms of the group’s $2 billion debt facilities and the acquisition of £660 million worth of North Sea oil and gas fields to be funded by way of a placing and rights issue.
Interserve plc, one of the world’s leading support services and construction groups, on the development and implementation of a deleveraging plan designed to reduce the group’s debt by approximately £485 million and provide £110 million of fresh liquidity.
Seadrill Limited, one of the world’s largest oil contractors, on its comprehensive restructuring plan, which was implemented via chapter 11 and encompassed its £12.8 billion of existing bank and bond debt, and new investment comprising a $200 million direct equity investment and an $880 million high yield bond.
The Icelandic bank Glitnir on its winding-up proceedings and composition with its creditors.
