Miles Johnson is a tax partner whose practice focuses on the tax aspects of complex transactions involving investment funds and their sponsors. Miles frequently advises on the tax and structuring aspects of a wide range of such transactions, including domestic and cross-border fund formations, fund restructurings and recapitalizations, GP stakes transactions and asset manager M&A, and investments made by funds and their sponsors. Miles's fund formation work involves advising and structuring funds in a wide range of strategies, including traditional equity/buyouts, venture capital, credit funds, infrastructure, and other special situations.
