Jared Joyce-Schleimer is a debt finance partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

Jared advises clients through all types of financing matters relating to major energy and infrastructure projects, at all stages of the project lifecycle. His practice has included representations of sponsors and lenders that are equally robust among development and construction financings, acquisition financings, refinancings and restructurings, in domestic and cross-border transactions across the energy and power, satellite and telecomm., and transportation industries.

His practice also includes a focus on renewable power and sustainable infrastructure. He assists developing countries in bringing sustainable projects to market in his pro bono work, and has worked with representatives of Bangladesh, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Fiji, Jamaica, Kenya and Vietnam on high-level sustainable project preparation and structuring matters. He also has significant restructuring experience representing debtors and creditors, including in the insolvency aspects of derivative and structured financing transactions, which he applies to assist clients in downside and distressed investment scenarios.
