John Kelley is a corporate partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He primarily focuses his practice on representing sponsors of private investment funds, including buyout, credit, mezzanine, venture capital, energy, healthcare, real estate, special situation, secondary and fund of funds, in all aspects of structuring, forming and raising such funds. He also regularly represents major institutional investors in connection with their review and negotiation of investments in private investment funds, segregated accounts and co-investments as well as in connection with secondary market transactions. In addition, John advises sponsors on fund manager M&A transactions, joint ventures and compliance matters.
