Richard leads Kirkland’s Labor & Employment Practice Group, works out of the New York office, and serves as lead labor and employment counsel to private equity firms and their portfolio companies and publicly traded companies. Richard advises clients on transactional labor and employment issues in complex national and international corporate transactions; counsels clients on the enforceability of restrictive covenants, employment issues in restructuring matters, reductions-in-force, and other significant labor and employment issues; negotiates and drafts employment-related agreements; manages executive separations; provides counseling to clients on union issues and negotiates collective bargaining agreements. Richard also represents clients in mediations involving employment disputes, and leads sexual harassment investigations and investigations into executive wrongdoing.
