Eric Kleine is a corporate lawyer in the Bay Area office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Eric has extensive corporate and transactional experience and specializes in mergers and acquisitions and various private equity transactions. Eric advises buyers, sellers and targets on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions; private equity sponsors and investors on buy-outs, investments and exits; and businesses across various industries on complex joint ventures and strategic corporate and commercial matters.

Prior to joining Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Eric was a partner at a national law firm based in Toronto, Canada and is licensed to practice law in New York and Ontario, Canada.

Eric speaks at various seminars and conferences and has guest lectured at Canadian law schools. In addition, Eric sits on the board of various not-for-profit organizations.
