Overview

Shannon Leutheuser is a partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Her practice focuses on advising fund sponsors with respect to the formation and operation of premier buyout, growth equity, venture capital, technology and other private investment funds, as well as the organization, structuring and operation of their management companies. Shannon's practice also includes advising fund sponsors in connection with fund restructurings, succession planning, key person events, co-investments, secondary transactions and other extraordinary events.

Prior to returning to Kirkland, Shannon served as General Counsel and Managing Director of Sandbox Industries. While at Sandbox, Shannon led all legal and compliance matters related to a platform of venture capital funds in the healthcare, insurtech and food and agriculture industries.
