Acted for an Australian bank in obtaining a Temporary Restraining Order and subsequent interim injunction against a former manager and third party business associates, freezing their accounts containing misappropriated funds.
Acted for an Australian bank in obtaining dismissal of claims alleging breach of responsible lending regulations, fraud and unconscionable conduct.
Acted for an Australian bank in a professional negligence claim against a valuer that substantially overvalued the appraised properties used by the bank as collateral for various loan facilities. Secured favorable settlement.
Acted for a Chinese property developer in defense of a claim brought by a lender seeking damages in connection with the developer withdrawing from a loan facility agreement. Secured favorable settlement at mediation.
Acted for an Australian property developer at trial, obtaining orders for specific performance of an essential term of the contract of sale of land for sugar cane production, transferring the vendor's shares in a third party sugar production company to our client.
