Leonard Licht is a corporate associate in the Investment Funds Practice Group in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He focuses his practice on advising private fund sponsors on the structuring, formation and operation of private investment funds, including private equity funds, distressed debt funds, credit funds, hedge funds and venture capital funds. Leonard also advises on the structuring and execution of GP stakes investments, secondaries, and asset management M&A transactions.
In addition to his broader practice, Leonard represents private fund executives on strategic planning initiatives relating to their asset management firms, including general partner and management company agreements, firm governance and succession planning, economic and carried interest agreements among investment professionals, and strategic transactions.
